Privacy Policy
Last Updated: December 3, 2025
Welcome to SwipeClean (the "App"). We believe that managing your digital life shouldn't come at the cost of your digital privacy.
This Privacy Policy describes how the SwipeClean Team ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our Service. By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices listed below.
If you do not agree with this policy, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.
1. The Data We Collect
We believe in data minimalism. We only collect what is strictly necessary to make the App function, improve performance, and keep the lights on.
A. Technical & Device Data
To ensure the App runs smoothly on your specific hardware, we automatically collect:
- Device Identifiers: IP address, device model, OS version, and App version.
- Performance Metrics: Crash logs, diagnostic reports, and session duration.
- Usage Patterns: Which features you use most (e.g., video compression vs. photo cleanup).
B. Advertising & Attribution IDs
We use standard mobile identifiers to understand our marketing effectiveness:
- IDFA (iOS) / Advertising ID: Used for ad attribution (only if you grant permission).
- IDFV (Identifier for Vendors): To recognize your device across our apps.
- UUID: A unique internal ID generated to maintain your preferences.
C. Content You Provide
- Support & Feedback: Any messages, reviews, or emails you send to us.
- In-App Configurations: Settings and preferences you select manually.
- Functional Access: To perform its core job, the App requires access to your Photo Library (to sort/clean media) and, if enabled, your Email Account (to manage inbox clutter).
D. Email Service Data (Optional Feature)
If you link an email account (e.g., Gmail, iCloud) for inbox cleaning, we adhere to strict data limits:
- Limited Access: We process metadata (headers, sender, subject) solely to execute your commands (delete, unsubscribe).
- No Human Eyes: No human sees your email content unless required by law or explicitly consented to by you for support.
- No Ad Profiling: We never use email content for advertising purposes.
2. Face Data & Local Processing (Critical Notice)
The App offers "Smart Sorting" features that analyze photos to find the best shots. We treat this data with the highest level of sensitivity.
🔒 Zero-Cloud Processing
- Local Only: All facial analysis occurs offline, directly on your device.
- No Transmission: We do not upload, sync, or sell facial data to any external server or third party.
What We Process
- Embeddings & Landmarks: The App creates mathematical vectors (embeddings) and maps facial landmarks (geometry) to detect expressions (e.g., smiling vs. blinking).
- Usage: This data is used strictly to help you organize your gallery (e.g., "Delete duplicates," "Keep best shot").
Retention
- Temporary: Face data exists only in the App's local database.
- Deletion: If you delete a photo, the face data is deleted. If you uninstall the App, all face data is permanently erased.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to build a better product, not to build a profile on you.
- Core Functionality: To execute the cleaning, sorting, and compression tasks you request.
- Optimization: Using crash reports (via Firebase) to fix bugs and improve speed.
- Communication: To send critical updates or respond to your support tickets.
- Marketing (Aggregated): To analyze which acquisition channels (ads) are working, using anonymized identifiers.
- Legal Compliance: To prevent fraud and comply with regional laws.
4. Sharing & Third-Party Partners
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted infrastructure partners necessary to operate the Service.
Infrastructure & Analytics
- Google Cloud: For secure hosting and backend infrastructure.
- Firebase (Google): For analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Adjust: For mobile attribution and marketing analytics.
Third-Party Libraries (Tech Stack)
We utilize specific open-source and commercial libraries to power the App. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies:
Legal Obligations
We may disclose data if legally required (e.g., court order) or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
5. Your Rights & Controls
Regardless of where you live, we support your right to control your data.
- Access & Portability: You may request a copy of the data we hold.
- Correction: You may ask us to fix incorrect details.
- Deletion: You may request the deletion of your personal data ("Right to be Forgotten").
- Opt-Out: You can manage advertising tracking (IDFA) via your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking).
To exercise these rights, contact us at: dev@clean-app.net
Note for California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is sold or shared. We do not sell your data. For specific inquiries, email us with the subject "California Privacy Request."
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are a parent and believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately for deletion.
7. Data Retention & Security
- Security: We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. However, no digital transmission is 100% immune to failure.
- Retention: We keep user data only as long as you use the App.
- Face Data: Deleted immediately upon App uninstall.
- Analytics: Retained in aggregated/anonymized form for research.
8. Updates to Policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app alerts or email. Continued use of the App implies acceptance of the updated terms.
